TALENTED students have wowed a sold-out crowd in Eastleigh.

The Rose Theatre at Barton Peveril College was packed with residents of all ages when the college's performing arts students performed their version of Sister Act.

Before the performance to friends, family and local residents held at the end of last month, the students held also two matinee shows to local schools.

Performing Arts pupils from Bitterne Park and Hounsdown School were in attendance, with Barton Peveril’s students hoping to inspire this next generation.

Ebony Deas, one of the students who performed in the show, said: “The show was fun and fabulous. The audience were lovely and seemed to have a great time. The cast should all be very proud of their hard work."

Performing Arts teacher Anneka Wass added: "It was a fantastic show with energetic disco dancing nuns. I’m so proud of all the cast involved, they performed excellently and made the crowd roar with laughter. We had a student led band, with first year student Tobias Saunders as the Musical Director; they did a brilliant job and I hope to work with them again on next year’s musicals.”
