There are delays on the A31 after a Land Rover and a caravan overturned.

The incident has taken place between Stoney Cross and Picket Post on the westbound carriageway.

Police say the Land Rover had been towing the caravan.

The road may have to be closed for recovery. There are no injuries.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said the crash was reported to them at 11.07am.

Motorists are stuck in queues of around 45 minutes from the M27 junction one at Cadnam.

A spokesperson for Highways England said: "Traffic has been stopped on the A31 westbound between M27 and A338 near Ringwood due to a collision between a car and caravan which has overturned.

"Lots of debris on scene. @HantsPolice currently dealing. Delays quickly building so please plan ahead."

The incident is ongoing.
