A MAN has been arrested after a £24,500 was allegedly stolen from a bus depot.
Police had launched a hunt for a man following the two burglaries at the Totton Bluestar depot on Salisbury Road.
On Friday, February 9, someone forced entry to the depot and took £6,500 from a security box, and on March 9 someone stole £18,000 from a security box.
Five days later a trio of men were disturbed by security staff at the depot and fled without taking anything.
Officers have confirmed that a 26-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.
He has been released but remains under investigation.
