HAMPSHIRE motorists are being warned ahead of the “most dangerous day of the year”.
A new study has revealed May 26 to be the most accident-filled for drivers.
According to the study, by Endsleigh Insurance Services, last year’s date saw more road traffic claims than any other.
The data also showed almost 20 per cent of all claims came from drivers in the south east, while 21-year-old male drivers of Vauxhalls were involved in the most motoring mishaps.
Ahead of this year’s May 26, on Saturday, Endsleigh is warning drivers stay safe.
Julia Alpan, from Endsleigh, said: “We were surprised to see the most dangerous day fell during the spring, rather than winter.”
