FIREFIGHTERS were called to a play park after a woman got stuck. The crew from Hightown fire station were called to Weston Shore to help Megan Kenway-Head out of a child's swing.

The mum of two got in it to help entertain her two young children - but started to panic when she couldn't get out.

And after a stranger tried - and failed - to help her out, she was forced to call the fire brigade.

Megan, from Woolston, said her children "weren't that interested in being in the park" - so she tried to "make things fun" by getting in the swing

She added: "They laughed for a bit but when it come to getting out I realised I was stuck. We called for a stranger to help. I tried to keep hold of the top bar so I could shuffle out."

She was there for "about an hour" before reluctantly calling the fire service and added: "I panicked a little before my audience helped me laugh it off.

"I feel relieved now, in a bit of pain and can feel quite a bit of bruising come up on my legs. I wont be going back in a baby swing any time soon

"I'm glad my partner was there though, he helped keep the kids calm and under control and had the idea to put them in the swings so we can keep an eye on them. We just wanted me out though."

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 13.22 to a 23 year old female released from a child's swing."

But it's not the first time Megan has hit the news. As reported Megan gave birth to her second child Gabrielle in January last year while on the loo and simultaneously keeping her toddler calm by talking to him over the baby monitor.

She then had to carry the newborn baby and the placenta downstairs to open the door to the paramedics.
