TALENTED students have impressed crowds in Eastleigh with their dance show.

Barton Peveril’s students put on the college’s first dedicated dance show called One Night Only, with more than 35 performances, all choreographed by the youngsters.

The performances, covered a range of styles from a modernised rendition of Singin’ in the Rain to a solo called Did You See?.

Speaking about the success of the night, Laura Harvey, teacher of dance, said: “Our One Night Only dance show has been an excellent way to showcase the vast talent of our students.

"It has provided the students with the opportunity to perform their exam work, as well as giving them the creativity to choreograph and perform dances specifically for the show.

"It was a fantastic evening of dance filled with passionate, emotive and creative performances.

"For our second year students, our show was their last performance, so I wish them the best of luck in their future.”

Student Natasha Watts said: “It’s nice working towards something we all enjoy before going our separate ways.”
