FOLLOWING last weekend's Common People Festival thousands of music fans are expected in Southampton city centre again today.
This time the one day Fake Festival will be at Mayflower Park as some of the country’s finest tribute bands perform.
The third instalment of the touring tribute festival will see The Police Force, Kazabian, Oasish, Flash, New 2 and Really Hot Chili Peppers providing entertainment throughout the day which runs from 12 noon until 11pm.
The look and sound-a-likes deliver an accurate version of real life stage shows from the celebrated bands, and this year for the first time organisers have doubled the line-up - meaning revellers get to witness six pro-level fake bands.
They will be joined on stage by local support bands, providing the warm up to get the audience in the party mood.
Although the 2018 event is the third in Southampton, Fake Festivals have been touring for 12 summers.
Tickets are available at the site today.
