RED Funnel has issued travel advice for those travelling to and from the Isle of Wight from today (Wednesday) until Monday because of the Isle of Wight Festival.

With the exception of travelling to the Island tomorrow (Thursday) and travelling to Southampton on Monday, Red Funnel have said there is good availability for vehicles and foot passengers on most of their sailings.

Red Funnel ferries currently have the following availability:

Wednesday, June 20

Southampton <> East Cowes – good availability all day. Additional 8.20pm departure from Southampton (9.45pm from East Cowes).

Southampton <> West Cowes – good availability all day.

Thursday, June 21

Southampton to East Cowes – sailings fully booked 5.45am to 6pm inclusive. Vehicle space available 7.15pm to 11.55pm. Additional 8.20pm from Southampton (9.45pm from East Cowes).

Southampton to West Cowes – additional sailings at peak times (up to 3 per hour) to meet anticipated demand, travel on a first come first served basis.

Friday, June 22

Southampton to East Cowes – vehicle space on most departures from 5.45am to 8am inclusive and 4pm to 11.55pm inclusive. Fully booked 9am to 3pm.

Southampton to West Cowes – normal timetable but with a last departure at 12.45am from Southampton (1.15am from West Cowes).

Saturday, June 23

Southampton <> East Cowes – good availability all day.

Southampton <> West Cowes – normal timetable but with last departure at 1.45am from Southampton (2.15am from West Cowes).

Sunday, June 24

Southampton <> East Cowes – good availability all day. Additional 11pm departure from Southampton (12.30am from East Cowes) and with an additional sailing 12.45am from Southampton (1.15am from East Cowes).

Southampton <> West Cowes – normal timetable but with last evening departure 12.45am from Southampton (1.15am from West Cowes).

Monday, June 25

East Cowes to Southampton – fully booked 4.15am to 10.30pm. Additional 9.45pm departure from East Cowes (8.20pm from Southampton).

West Cowes to Southampton – additional sailings at peak times (up to 3 per hour) to meet anticipated demand, travel on a first come first served basis.
