DAY two of the sold-out Isle of Wight Festival kicks off today with an array of wonderful music, golden magic and sunshine.

From Liam Gallagher to Jessie J, via a melodic hit of Depeche Mode, the entertainment promises to be as intoxicating as Friday’s offering.

Perhaps most eagerly awaited is Hacienda Classical, which sees the club's original DJ partnership of Graeme Park and Mike Pickering reinterpret seminal dance classics along with an orchestra and conductor Tim Crooks.

The concept has received rave reviews wherever they have perform since beginning just 20 months ago.

Another exciting show will come from Irish rockers Kodaline.

They take to the Main Stage at around 5pm. Kodaline perform a variety of soaring, radio-ready guitar rock numbers that has drawn comparisons with Keane and Coldplay.

The quartet rose to prominence with hit singles ‘High Hopes’ and ‘Love Like This’.

Blossoms follow them on the same stage, fresh from launching their new album.

Saturday marks the 50th anniversary of the festival and to celebrate music fans are being urged to wear gold to make the occasion.

The first instalment saw Jefferson Airplane headline the 10,000 strong festival, with Arthur Brown, The Move, Smile, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, Plastic Penny, Fairport Convention, and The Pretty Things, who will make an emotional appearance on Sunday, all take to the stage.

This year's festival has also seen a number of celebrity spottings.

Colin Firth, star of The Kings Speech, was seen watching his son Luca's band on the Hard Rock Cafe Stage.

Last night Peter Crouch was also seen cutting some shapes on the dance floor as he enjoyed Kasabian's headline show.
