AT LONG last as a nation we have got something to shout about.
They should put Gary Southgate in charge of Brexit. It is superb the way that he has prepared this England team. He obviously did his homework to get us through to the quarter-finals.
Those who have been dithering with our exit from Europe should take a leaf out of his book.
The young England team not only kept their cool against this highly intimidating Columbian side but they put an end to England’s penalty curse.
Well done lads. You have put the pride back in the nation.
Now let’s hope our politicians can do the same.
