They are some of the most stunning shots of the night sky ever taken, and what's more they were captured from a Hampshire back garden.

Astronomer Professor Greg Parker has taken detailed photographs of everything from star clusters to nebula producing some of the clearest images of space ever seen.

The images were all captured from Prof Parker's own observatory in his garden in Brockenhurst.

They are now being exhibited at a special show called Starscapes II in Brockenhurst.

For the full story and a selection of his photographs, see today's Southern Daily Echo.

The Starscapes II Exhbition only runs until this Friday 24th August - Brockenhurst Village Hall - opening times from 10.30 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. After this week it will be another year before the images will be on display again. You can however see all the images ever taken at the New Forest Observatory here:

Hey Greg - check your photos again. You may have captured the New Forest UFO over Ipley!!!

Great stuff anyway and good luck with your superb work.

Hey now - that's a good idea :)
After 2 and a half years deep-sky imaging, and many hundreds of hours of exposures - not a single UFO unfortunately. Quite a few asteroids - but no UFOs.
Thank you very much for your interest.
Best,
Greg Parker

I spotted a spinning wheel hub and none of my mates believe me! It's a cruel world!

STARSCAPES® is a privately trademarked name. Please keep this in mind. Thank you.

Likewise - King Mush is also a privately registered name and I will sue the a**e off anybody who dares to plagiarise me.

Mind you - our American friend seems to forget which country's astronomers forged the early pioneering work that enables him and fellow ex colonials to enjoy their pursuits.

Also, its a shame that US can only spend billions on rockets that wipe out hundreds of thousands of innocent people, as opposed to some decent space developments.

PS The Moon landing WAS faked. Check it out across the internet, as well as avoiding the Ministry of Disinformation.
