DO you ever find that you're in too much of a hurry to sit down and read the Daily Echo in print or online?

Well, we might have a solution.

The Echo is teaming up with Amazon to allow anyone with an Alexa-equipped device, such as an Echo or Echo Dot, to bring the biggest news to you in voice format.

Amazon Echo was launched in 2016 and allows users to talk to Alexa, a virtual personal assistant, and get information, put events in their calendar, and buy things.

Another of its functions is news, meaning anyone can keep up to date with the latest news hands free.

Users across the world can simply add the Daily Echo Today skill to their device and get ready to hear the top five Echo headlines for that day.

To add the Daily Echo Today to your Alexa Flash Briefing…

1. Open the Alexa app on your smartphone

2. In the main menu, navigate to ‘Skills’

3. Search for ‘Daily Echo Today’ and click on it (picture below).

4. Click ‘Enable’ to add the skill to your Flash Briefing

5. Ask Alexa “What’s in the news?”

If you don’t hear the Daily Echo Today news on Alexa, make sure it is added to your Flash Briefing by navigating back to the skill in the same way as above and clicking the ‘Settings’ button. Tap ‘Manage Flash Briefings’ and ensure that ‘Daily Echo news’ is turned on in the list.
