SOUTHAMPTON'S heritage steamship SS Shieldhall – the regional flagship of the National Historic Fleet – has a busy programme of summer sailings down Southampton Water, into the Solent and beyond.

On Saturday, Shieldhall has two sailings, a Southampton Docks Cruise between 11am – 1pm and a three hour Head to the Solent Cruise to see four cruise ships depart, between 4 and 7pm.

The Daily Echo has two family tickets (2 adults and 2 children) for this Saturday morning's cruise, when SeaCity curator Maria Newbury will be on board.

To enter the draw to win tickets, simply email catherine.collins@dailyecho.co.uk with your name, address and a contact phone number before midday on Thursday July 19.

Winners will be drawn at random.

Maria will be bringing with her a selection of items from the City’s museum collection relating to Southampton’s maritime history, including menus, deckplans and brochures from liners that sailed from Southampton in the past, including QE2 and Queen Mary.

Maria will display these in the Shieldhall saloon, and will be pleased to answer questions relating to them or Southampton’s maritime collection in general. Shieldhall will be exploring Southampton’s Docks.

On Sunday, Shieldhall has an extended Trip to the Needles between 12 midday and 6pm, and on her return passes the departing cruise ships Britannia and Arcadia – always taking the opportunity to sound her whistle and play the Shieldhall organ.
