A MAN in his 50s was stabbed in a Lymington alleyway last night, police say.
Officers were called to the passageway, which lies between Kings Crescent and Samber Close, at around 10.10pm.
The victim, who is 52, was rushed to hospital. He is in a stable condition.
Police cordons have been established at two locations connected to the stabbing, detectives say.
A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: "The local community may notice an increased police presence in the area as part of our investigation."
A 35-year-old man from Lymington has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He continues to help police.
