The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court:

Sonny William Jarvis, 32, of Wodehouse Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to criminal damage. Told to pay £149 compensation.

James Smith, 21, of Hillyfields, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to criminal damage. Handed 12-month conditional discharge, £85 costs, £38 compensation order and £20 victim services surcharge.

John Cunningham, 47, of Ashridge Close, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to assault. Committed to prison for ten weeks, suspended for two years. Told to pay £85 costs and £115 victim services surcharge.

Alun Lee Cornock, 33, of Selbourne Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to failing to comply with requirements of community order. Fined £76 with £60 costs.

James Stewart Henderson, 57, of Cranbury Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing cheese valued at £60 from the Co-op. Handed nine-month conditional discharge, told to pay £60 compensation and £20 costs.

Frank Michael James, 25, of Howe Close, New Milton. Found guilty of assault. Community order, including requirement to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. Also ordered to pay £100 costs and £50 compensation.

Stephen Ralph, 34, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing three polo shirts valued at £233 from John Lewis. Committed to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months. Also told to pay £115 victim services surcharge.

Rachael Louise Bartlett, 36, of Wellands Road, Lyndhurst. Pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Banned from driving for 17 months, £287 fine, £50 costs, £30 victim services surcharge.

Marvin Robin Turner, 49, of Woodley Close, Romsey. Pleaded guilty to harassment. Community order, £50 fine, £30 costs, £85 victim services surcharge.

Brandon Christopher David Abbott, 27, of Park Road, Ashley, New Milton. Pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £50 court costs.

Paula Caplen, 48, of Staplehurst Close, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Community order made and ordered to carry out 60 hours’ unpaid work. Ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Darren Glen Smith, 40, of Bullar Road, Bitterne, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drink-driving, assault and damaging property. Community order made, ordered to carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work and fined £85 with a £85 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Shane Michael Lyons, 35, of Orpen Road, Sholing, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window. Restraining order put in place and ordered to pay £350 compensation.

Adam Belo Omar, 39, of Derby Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to causing harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, and stealing a bottle of wine from Sainsbury’s in Bedford Place. Community order made and ordered to pay back £6.50 in compensation for the stolen alcohol.

Charlie Seagrave, 18, of Milbury Crescent, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to driving without a licence, in a car that had no MOT, with no insurance, and failing to stop after an accident. Seagrave also pleaded guilty to driving with an obscured number plate, driving on a separate occasion without a licence, without an MOT and insurance and without reasonable consideration for other drivers. Community order made, ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for four months.

Richard Edward Taylor, 45, of Old Redbridge Road, Southampton. Found guilty of using abusive words or behaviour. Community order made and fined £125. Ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge and £120 court costs.
