The A31 is now open after one person died in a fatal crash near Ringwoodlast night.
The road was shut westbound between the M27 junction two and the A338 at Ringwood following the collision, which happened earlier on Thursday evening near Poulner Hill.
Police confirmed this morning that the crash happened at 9.45pm.
There were no other injuries.
Highways England confirmed that the road has reopened from the M27 junction 2 to the A338 Ringwood following the serious collision.

A Highways England statement said: "Update - The #A31 has now RE-OPENED from the #M27 J2 to the #A338 #Ringwood after the earlier serious collision.
"Thank you for your patience."
