POLICE probing the death of a man near a former Hampshire auction room say they are not treating it as suspicious.
It comes after officers were called to the site, in Prospect Road, at 9.10pm on Tuesday, July 31, when the body was discovered by a dog-walker.
According to a witness, the man was found near to the former Prospect Auctions building.
As previously reported, the Alresford auctioneers closed down several years ago after falling into financial difficulties.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "We were called to Prospect Road at 9.10pm on July 31 following the discovery of the body of a 41-year-old man.
"His next of kin have been informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
