POLICE have charged three men after a mass brawl erupted in a Southampton street - resulting in two men being hospitalised with 'puncture wounds'.

Dalvinder Singh, of Nichols Road, Southampton, Satnam Singh Roath, of Alfred Street, Southampton and Shakti Singh Roath, of Chapel Street, Southampton have all been charged with violent disorder.

The trio are due to appear in court tomorrow (August 13).

It follows what officers described as a twenty person brawl between two groups of armed men in the area of Derby Road.

According to police, the groups were carrying a 'range of weapons'.

Three men were taken to hospital following the incident - all of whom have now been released.

Two of those are said to have suffered what police describe as 'puncture wounds'.

Police say the incident took place in the area of Derby Road and St Albans Road around 10pm on Friday, August 10.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the areas around Derby Road, St Albans Road, Northam Road, Old Northam Road and Jurys Inn Hotel/NCP car park.
