1: In Southampton...

Head to Riverside Park on Saturday, and discover the blissful art of Taiji Qigong.

The exercise routine mixes simple Qigong and Tai Chi movements.

Gently working the muscles and helping to master breath control, Taiji Qigong has been practised for over 3,000 years in China.

It is known to improve health and prevent illness, so why not give it a try?

The class will be starting at 9am, and the meeting point is at the Riverside Park Car Park, behind the Bitterne Park Social Club.

Unfortunately, if it is raining, the event will not be taking place.

2: In Lordshill...

Need somewhere for both the kids and adults to have fun?

Then you can join the families who will be at the free-to-enter Lordshill Community Centre Fete.

Hosting fun games and a barbecue, this fundraiser is guaranteed to glorify your weekend.

The activities start at 12 noon and finish around 4pm.

You might even win something on the Tombola.

3: In Southampton...

Once again, Palmerston Park will be filled with the Pagan Pride festival.

Sunday will see a parade from The Bargate and performances from guest bands.

The event is free to enter but stalls and workshops will be available, some with additional charges.

Anyone is welcome and the family friendly environment will ensure that everyone will have fun, and even learn something new.

The festival will last from 11am-5pm, so get there early-it's sure to be busy.

4: In Winchester...

You've heard of sweet and sour, but now it's time for spicy and savoury.

The Garrison Ground on Bar End Road are hosting a chilli and cheese festival over the weekend, with over 70 traders selling their chilli or cheese related products.

If the finest spice doesn't take your fancy, then I'm sure a slice of irresistibly tasty cheese is a delicious enough persuasion to visit.

Kids under 16 may enter free, but anyone older must book tickets through the Cheese and Chilli Festival website.

5: In Fareham...

Feeling the need for a fascinating story?

Fort Nelson is playing host to a one-off weekend, where you and the family can meet a First World War Munitionette and many other essential characters from the history of the fort.

Across the weekend the fort will be open usual times, but at 11am, 12 noon and 2pm both days, there will be live performances for all to see.

Guns will be fired, and fun will be had.

6: In Portsmouth...

Who's to say that throwbacks can only happen on a Thursday?

Portsmouth Guildhall are throwing a Games Fest on Saturday, and there will be more than just an Xbox.

With some of the most iconic video and board games to grace the world, the Guildhall Games Fest will give parents the chance to show their kids what they played whilst growing up.

The entrance fee of £10 allows access to all of the available games for the whole afternoon, starting at 11:00am.

4-14 year olds cost £6, and tickets are available at the Guildhall Games Fest website.

7: In Winchester...

A long week requires a relaxing walk through the refreshing sights of the Winchester water meadows.

Luckily, this Sunday is the date that hosts an in-depth tour.

With only a mile to walk and so much to see, this family event is ideal for kids any age.

Afterwards, guests will be shown through the medieval buildings and stunning gardens that belong to the St Cross Hospital.

The walk will begin at the Winchester Tourist Information Centre at 2pm; £4 for children and £10 for adults.

8: In Totton...

It's time to become a real farmer.

Longdown Activity Farm is a great place for you and the family to head to this weekend.

The family-run farm are giving you the opportunity to feed the animals and see behind the scenes.

If you're lucky, there may even be a fluffy chick ready for a cuddle.

The farm is open from 10:00am-5:00pm both days of the weekend on a turn-up-and-enter basis.

9: In Winchester...

Get over to Winchester Guildhall this Saturday and discover The Indie Trail: a unique treasure hunt designed by families.

You and your young explorers will be armed with a limited edition map and passport to aid your on your search around the independent shops in Winchester.

The hunt is free to participate and is packed with things for your children to find.

It runs between 10am-5pm and if you and your family find all of the required treasures, then a bag of sweets will await at the end of the trail.

To begin the hunt, visit the Winchester Tourist Information Centre.

10: In Southampton...

It's not fair for just the kids to be able to win a prize, so Seaside in the Square have given adults a chance too.

The Giant Deckchair Trail is an event organised over the city; 14 giant deckchairs have been planted around the city and it's your job to find them.

Children who manage to find all 14 will be given a secret prize, to be collected at at the beach bar.

Adults can post an image of themselves sitting on one of the deck chairs on Instagram, and the photo with the most likes will receive a £20 West Quay shopping voucher.

The trail can be found in West Quay or The Marlands, or can be downloaded from the Seaside in the Square website and is free to partake.
