Southampton Tyro 10-1 S & D Under 16s
Southampton Tyro: Bosman, Dixon, Benali, Dunne, Coen, Merrick, Tongs, Fellbrich, Pemberton, Mansell, Petley.
Subs: Plummer, Hutchings, Browne, Hicks
The first fixture for the Under 15 Representative side took place today. Southampton Tyro played host to S&D Under 16s at Crestwood School.
The game started bright with either side looking capable of breaking the deadlock. The first goal came with in the first 20 minutes, with Mansell breaking the off side trap, and slotting the ball past the stranded keeper. Further goals came from Mansell again, Dunne, Merrick and Dixon to put Tyro 5-0 up going into the interval.
After the interval, Tyro kept on breaking down the defence of S & D and further goals came. Mansell scoring his hat-trick and Dixon grabbing his second with a great looping header from an in swinging corner. S & D pulled a goal back but this was too late. Mansell grabbing a further 2 goals to add a impressive total of 5 and Fellbrich round off a great performance from Tyro.
The game finishing 10-1 to the home side.
Manager Dan Wilson commented after the game, "For the first game, the boys impressed. Hopefully this will be the start of some wonderful results".
