A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a crash in the New Forest.
Officers say a 71-year-old man has been arrested following the collision on the A337 between Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst.
The two-car crash, which involved a Jaguar and a Mini, took place around 7.10pm yesterday (August 20).
The driver of the Mini, a 33-year-old, from Dorset and the passenger of the Jaguar, a 59-year-old woman Sway, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Southampton General Hospital.
The driver of the Jaguar, a 71-year-old man from Sway, who was uninjured, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
He remains in custody at this time.
Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
The road was closed for several hours after the crash.
Police announced the road had reopened around 8am this morning.
