MAY I say a few words to the councillors on Eastleigh's planning committee regarding the proposed 164-metre runway extension.

Many jobs have been lost in the area such as two Pirelli factories, with Ford and the railway works going.

None of these companies were willing to invest finance into their factories so away they went.

Now we have a major employer willing to invest money to improve their services to the area.

More passengers means more handling staff, more caterers, and more taxis.

Don't miss the opportunity with your vote.

The worst scenario would be planning refused, Flybe goes bust, and there is no other airline willing to take over their routes because the run way is too short for economic use.
