A WOMAN caught drinking driving in Southampton has been banned from the roads.

Rosemary Ann Davies was caught drink driving on December 29 last year on Canute Road.

The 37-year-old was found to have 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

On the same day, Davies was found to be carrying a quantity of cannabis on French Street in Southampton.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, she pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of drink driving, and pleaded guilty to the possession of cannabis.

Davies, of Murton Avenue, Upper Stratton in Swindon, was disqualified from driving for 20 months and was fined a total of £220.

She was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £250.
