1.instant arrest for any driver wearing a baseball cap
2. instant driving ban for any seat ibiza or vauxhall corsa drivers
3. corporal punishment for any one that has the urge to put neon lights under their car &
4.public flogging for any one with an exhaust larger than a few centimeters.

Exactly. The police do a token exercises publicise it and go oh look how great we are. It took the death of an innocent Indian man in fawley before the police did anything, even tho around the fawley and blackfield areas there has been anti social problems for years.

I had groups of kids up to 20 of them playing football on the street at 10 at night, the police would do nothing about them the noise. It took the housing association around here to act on it, the police are not interested unless there is publicity to be made or things go belly up and they have to be seen to of acted.

This is too little too late,These Scumbags should have been sorted long ago .The police have lost control of our streets,My daughters car was vandalised recentley in totton what has happened to our youngsters?

I'm actually in the police myself and its always good to see PC'S starting up operations why does it need to be a senior officer

i generally think that the place should be wiped of the map any way then the police wouldn't have to worry about it plus southampton would be a nicer place

all this and one arrest ? They should come around my way and I'd guarantee at least a dozen cars could be towed away and crushed.

excellent work by the police on the estate and I hope it sends a clear message to the adults as well as the kids on the estate. The parents are as much to blame as they neglect to monitor where their kids are or when or who with and if challenged obver thekids behaviour they flatly deny their kids involvement. Often they lie on pupose to save the kids from justice!

I can remember a few years ago,the times when i used to spend my hard earned cash on souping up cars with stripes and noisy exhausts and yes, sometimes behaving like a bit of a prat wheel spinning and showing of the loud sound sytem. Only difference between then and now is if you got caught today you can laugh at the police.

It's all too easy for people like me, who are old and exhausted, to forget that they were once in their early teens with oodles of energy to be spent, one way or another.

Kids need a space to play and a culture that's sympathetic to them.

50 years ago kids could play in the streets without fear of being run over. There were countless green spaces. You can't even take your dog for a loo-walk nowadays.

Since when hvae the "Flower Roads" been in Bassett? When I lived there it was Swaythling!

A unique boardwalk could be built in Southampton - but we need your vote to make it happen.

The Connect2 project is organised by Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity. They are bidding for a £50 million lottery grant, which will fund the creation of essential links, bridges, cycle and foot paths right across the UK.

In Southampton a boardwalk would be created along part of the River Itchen, between Northam Bridge and Horsham Bridge, Priory Road.

The boardwalk would open this segment of the waterfront to the public for walkers and cyclists. It would link with a cycle route across Cobden Bridge to Riverside Park, and football fans would be able to walk directly from St Deny’s railway, along the route to St Mary’s football stadium.

However Sustrans is up against three other projects bidding for the funding. And only the project with the most public votes will win.

ITV coverage of the People’s Millions started on Monday. Lorraine Kelly will be championing Sustrans` Connect2 on an ITV1 show on Tuesday, 4 December at 11pm. Telephone voting will begin on Friday, 7 December and then all voting concludes at 12 noon on Monday, 10 December.

Online voting has already begun.
