UNLOVED, unwanted and homeless.
Twelve months ago these unlucky, orphaned animals were dumped at the Stubbington Ark, finding themselves with no one to love them and no where to call home.
As the shelters longest staying residents Sooty, Carla and Caesar and Perky have only one wish for the new year and that is to find a warm and loving new home.
Staff at the Ark, which is one of the largest animal shelters in the country, are desperate to find these loveable creatures a loving family.
For months these long termers' have been cooped up in their cages, watching on as every other animal around them is chosen by a family to be their new pet.
Abandoned Janie Ratliff said: "These animals are here through no fault of their own and unfortunately have been cooped up in here for a long time.
"Our long termers would love nothing more than to start the new year in a new home. We hope that Daily Echo readers can help make their Christmas wishes come true."
Sooty is a five-year-old female cat who was left stranded at the Ark when her owners moved to accommodation where pets were not allowed.
She has already had a tough life, being hit by a car when she was just a kitten that may lead to arthritis in later life.
Janie said: "Poor Sooty has been here for a year and through no fault of her own. She is a friendly and affectionate cat who has a certain hint of mischief in her eyes."
It's not only children that are affected by divorce. Carla, a five-year-old black Lurcher found herself at the shelter after her owners split up.
Janie said: "Carla is a sensitive girl who likes a cuddle and a quiet home where she can lead a relaxed life. She easily retreats into her shell so would like a daily routine where she'll have plenty of attention."
Finally we have bunny duo, Caesar and Perky, who would love to be rehomed together after being dumped at the Ark when their owners moved to no pet accommodation.
Janie said: "Caesar is a nervous bunny who needs to be handled daily as he is anxious and wriggly. Perky is a very independent bunny who will let you know when she has had enough."
