BUDDING dancers have been left disappointed after an X Factor-style competition at Southampton Guildhall was postponed at the last minute.

Evolution of Youth, which was due to take place tomorrow night, was expected to attract schoolchildren from across the county.

A Guildhall spokesman this morning confirmed the event had been postponed.

She was unable to say why the event was not going ahead or give a new date.

There's not enough here for the fameoholics, who see the approval of the likes of Simon Cowell as their life-long ambition. If you are going to make a fool of yourself, you'd probably rather do it in front of an ITV saturday night audience than southampton's VIPs.

Yuo shaould read the advert.
The evenet was suppossed to raise money for charity but not charity is named.

"Survival of the fittest is unique because of its structure. 15% of all proceeds have been allocated to a charity.
"
No named famous person
"competition judged by expert guest from two of the leading dance companies in the country, as well as the presentation of the winning prize from a high profile guest."
Music for an unsigned DJ ( does not have a job yet) "Competition DJ for the entire night will be unsigned DJ, 19 year old DJ SEMO"
Cheapest ticket was 20 pounds "Tickets for the show will range from £20 pounds to £28. The venue will be seated as well as standing. V.I.P. tickets will be very limited as I am only selling 34 tickets, they will be sold at £70 "
Another unsigned person then would entertain the crowd
"Unsigned UK R&B singer Michel-Pierre will perform a new track form his latest record "Thinking About you".
And then the final joke
"The Evolution of Youth is a unique idea and will be a household name. Double R Studios will put Southampton on the map in the world of dance and the goal is to make Southampton the new Dance and entertainment capital of the United Kingdom.
"

Perhaps now the mums whose daughters are going to see Simon Cowell for the X factor will see where their childrens tallent will end up.
