Jumping To Victory

An Ambleside teenager has jumped her way to victory in a major Pony Club competition.
Oxenholme Pony Club member Samantha Magennis, 13, who is a pupil at Windermere St Annes, finished in third place in the Dengie winter league show jumping championships.
The competition attracted more than 4,500 entries at 100 show centres across the UK, with just 70 riders qualifying for the finals.
