Grants now available for pre-school training

PARENTS can claim grants worth up to £396 per term to pay for pre-school sessions.
It is available for parents whose child is three years old by September 1.
The grant can be used for sessions at pre-school playgroups, private nurseries and school nursery classes, for up to five two-hour sessions a week, 11 weeks a term.
To be eligible, children need to be attending the nursery or pre-school on or before September 20, 2001.
In the past year, 95 per cent of all four-year-olds and 88 per cent of all three year olds in Greenwich received a grant for early education sessions.
