I AM writing this in response to the letter from S Dix from Bellingdon Road, regarding how she will no longer have dealings with The Cats Protection League or Marjorie Nash Cat Rescue.
Also there has been the correspondence over the RSPCA's cat rehoming policy.
I would like to point out firstly to Mrs Dix that she was definitely treated with very little respect and she certainly didn't deserve to be judged by where she lived.
Secondly, I would like to point out that although what Mrs Dix went through wasn't very comfortable, what these charities are doing is very good. I give my full support to many animal welfare charities. I feel that the work they do is priceless to some people as these animals can give out so much love even after what they have been through.
I would like to encourage anyone out there who is interested in getting a pet to check their local animal shelters for a pet instead of buying them brand new. These animals are all healthy and, in many cases, fully trained and all pre-vaccinated. There are so many loving yet homeless animals out there who deserve a second chance. And remember .... a pet is for life.
