A 14 year-old was left with a hairline fracture to his skull after a clash between a group of youths and adults.
He was treated at Southampton General Hospital and police are appealing for information following the incident in Market Street, Eastleigh, which happened just after 2 am on Saturday September 13.
Detective Constable Phil Attwood of Eastleigh CID said: "This area of Eastleigh is usually busy at this time of night and I would appeal to anyone in the area who may have witnessed the incident to contact us. I am particularly keen to speak to a man standing outside the food outlet wearing a white t-shirt. This man may hold vital information."

A 19-year-old man from Eastleigh has been arrested in connection with this incident. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries and is due to report back to Eastleigh police station on Wednesday, November 19.
