THE office was the place for a pet yesterday as the Blue Cross animal charity staged its annual Take Your Dog to Work Day.
West Highland terrier Tilly, aged one, was delighted to join owner Jules Thompson in her office at the University of Southampton’s school of social sciences.
Jules said: “It feels quite special to be able to be spend time with Tilly in the office and have a cuddle with her when I want.
“She was a bit hectic in the morning but she calmed down after we got back from her lunch time walk and she was quite well behaved, considering she’s still a puppy.”
Jules, 37, and Tilly raised £30 for the Blue Cross thanks to donations from colleagues.
This year’s Take Your Dog to Work Day will directly help the Blue Cross animal shelter in West End as it is raising cash for a £1.5m redevelopment of the centre.
