AN elderly man who died after he was pulled from the water of a Hampshire marina has been identified.
Richard Pinhey, who was 83, was found floating in the water at Haslar Marina, Gosport, shortly before midday on Sunday.
Mr Pinhey, who lived in Rampart Row in Gosport, was spotted in the water by a group of three children who were walking along the pontoon. They alerted yachtsmen, who managed to pull the body from the water at The Esplanade.
Mr Pinhey was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham but was pronounced dead on arrival.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
