TWO senior Hampshire police chiefs are being investigated over allegations they broke the Official Secrets Act, the Daily Echo can reveal.
A major inquiry concerning the alleged leak is being led by London’s Metropolitan Police force.
One of the pair at the centre of the inquiry is former Assistant Chief Constable Steve Watts, pictured, who was interviewed under caution in south London after voluntarily attending a police station on a day off.
The other is thought to be an inspector who was arrested a day before Mr Watts was interviewed concerning the same allegations.
The Met is now liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service about the inquiry but is unable to say when a decision will be made.
