TEN people have been arrested following dawn raids across Eastleigh this morning.
Nine men and one woman were busted by police squads as part of their latest crackdown on dealers of class A drugs.
All ten are being held at police stations across the county where they are being questioned by detectives.
A quantity of class A and class B substance were discovered in the raids, which were part of an intelligence operation, codenamed Operation Helium, targeting those selling heroin and crack cocaine in the borough.
Detective Inspector Nick Plummer who co-ordinated the raids said: "The operation was carried out in three phases and is part of our ongoing work to disrupt the illegal drugs supply chain and to reduce associated crime linked to drug taking."
Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhoods teams will later today be patrolling the areas where the raids took place this morning to inform neighbouring residents about the operation.
If anyone has information about the supply or use of illegal substances in Eastleigh, they should contact the Drugs Intelligence Officer at Eastleigh police station on 0845 045 45 45 or the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
