THE HEADMASTER of a private Southampton school has pleaded not guilty to indecently assaulting teenage boys.

Brother Jack Davis appeared before Southampton Magistrates' Court today to face six counts of indecent assaults on boys aged under 14.

The charges the 65-year-old headmaster at St Mary's College face relate to three boys and were allegedly committed between 1973 and 1984.

Davis has been suspended from the £4,700 a year Bitterne Park school and living in London since he was charged by detectives earlier this month.

He was ordered to return to Southampton Magistrates’ Court in May when his case will be transferred to the city’s crown court.

Davis was released on conditional bail.
