£1m cash boost to charities

A £1m windfall is going to give a cash boost to 68 Hampshire charities.

The money is coming from council coffers and is going to causes that help pensioners, disabled and others.

A total of £1,062,640 was pledged by Hampshire C o u n t y C o u n c i l executive member for Adult Social Care F e l i c i t y Hindson.

Cllr Hindson said: “It is hugely important that we make every effort to support organisations that help the most vulnerable people in our society, so I am very pleased to be able to award these grants.”

Among those who will benefit are Age Concern, Eastleigh Leisure Pursuits, Bursledon Lunch Club and Fareham Access Group.

Physical Disability

Learning Disability

Mental Health
