RESEARCHING a family tree has led to a headstone marking the grave of a couple from the Romsey area who died more than 60 years ago.
The memorial, dedicated to the memory of Edwin and Ellen Moody, has been placed in the burial ground at St John’s Church in Lockerley and last week relatives gathered for the consecration of the headstone which also features the names of other departed family members.
Lockerley’s vicar, the Revd James Pitkin performed the service. Edwin and Ellen’s great-grandson, Edwin Moody was behind the tribute and he’s been unravelling the family tree.
