DETECTIVES investigating the death of Saints steward Paula Poolton have this morning charged a man with her murder.
Roger Kearney, 56, of Painswick Close, Park Gate, was charged in the early hours over the death of the popular 40-year-old.
Paula was found stabbed to death in the boot of her car parked on Duncan Road near Park Gate station.
Paula, of Course Park Crescent, Titchfield, was last seen alive on October 17 last year but her body was not discovered for a further 11 days.
Earlier this month the case codenamed Operation Beck was highlighted on the BBC's Crimewatch programme.
Kearney, a Royal Mail worker, was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning charged with murder.
