Two men will appear before magistrates in Southampton today to face charges of attempting to rob a Southampton mobile phone shop with a sawn-off shotgun.
Shaun Patrick McEvoy, 42, of Walnut Avenue, Southampton, and James Robert Worton-Griffiths, 29, of South Lane, Nomansland, are both charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Possession of an Imitation Firearm.
The incident happened around 9.35am Wednesday, when two masked men walked into the Mobile Exchange shop on Portswood Broadway.
Police yesterday arrested the two men after sealing off the scene of the incident for more than six hours on Wednesday.
