DRIVERS are being advised to avoid Shirley in Southampton after an accident partly blocked a major road.
Police and ambulances were called to Shirley Road when a blue Vauxhall car collided with a silver car just after 7.30pm.
Paramedics treated injuries at the scene.
The blue Vauxhall was left on the pavement up against the front wall of a house in Romsey Road near its junction with Sydney Road and Clarendon Road.
Debris was scattered across the road.
