HAMPSHIRE’S top police officer has announced a dedicated three month campaign to wipe out antisocial behaviour.
Extra policing patrols will be operating across the county in a bid to stop the problem during summer months.
All parts of the force will be involved as Safer Neighbourhood teams together with local councils strive to reduce the problems.
Running until the end of September, priorities will include cutting criminal damage and drink related antisocial behaviour and increase the number of people able to respond.
Chief Constable Alex Marshall, pictured, said: “We know that anti-social behaviour can have a massive impact on a person’s quality of life and about the effect it can have on a local community.
“During the next three months, when historically we see a rise in reported incidents of antisocial behaviour, I am putting more of my team out on patrols in known hotspots across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. As well as reducing incidents of antisocial behaviour we are also looking at increasing public confidence in the police.”
Residents should report any incidents of antisocial behaviour by calling 101.

This should be done 24/7 without any publicity just get on and do the job. Squash the yobs into oblivion. This must be backed up by the courts.

In fact, I can hear some yobs near my house right now. Chances are the police are too busy persecuting ordinary people who've committed "hate crimes" such as saying how immigration has changed the character of their local area forever, while nutcases such as Anjem Choudary are free to preach their hatred. Chances are my local police are also prosecuting old ladies who don't pay their council tax too. Oh what a **** great country we live in! It's all going to the dogs

more physeudo-poltical cr*p!
I've heard from many ex and current Hampshire P.O.(mainly southampton)that the police are crap and are only interested in meeting government targets and P.R.
Don't believe the spin you read, Hampshire Police are the most raceist, sexist, ageist police force in the country and the most decorated among them are the worst.
Arseoles, the lot of them.!
I certainly don't feel protected by them, rather, I survive despite them.
Don't get me started, i can't type fast enough to express my loathing of the police force in and around Southampton.
You're far more likely to get away with murdering somebody than you are of getting away with doing 34 mph in a 30 limit!
Don't forget, motorists are the only true criminals. and must be hunted and hounded at all costs!!!
