ALLOTMENT space could be turned in to burial land under proposals being outlined by a Hampshire council.
Ringwood Town Council wants to extend its cemetery on Hightown Road by using the adjacent allotment – and the scheme is being recommended for approval by planning experts.
A report due to go before New Forest District Council’s planning development control committee next week, said: “Extending the cemetery adjacent to the existing site is a practical solution to the need.”
Committee members will vote on the matter in Lyndhurst on July 8.
