POLICE are stepping up their hunt for a hit and run driver who left a Hampshire pensioner with serious injuries.
The 75-year-old man, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, was walking in Stubbington when he was involved in an accident that left him with deep grazes to his face, forehead, knees and hands, and a dislocated finger.
The victim remembers a car tyre running over his hand but he has been unable to provide police with any more information.
The incident happened last Friday in the Monks Hill and Salterns Road area at around 4.30pm.
