A FUNDRAISING drive has been launched to ensure specialised medical treatment for a Hampshire schoolgirl.
Amy Allen needs the use of a specially-adapted frame at the Rainbow Centre in Fareham to help her stand and Test Valley children’s charity Brave Hearts is behind the £1,768 fundraising appeal to help make it happen.
Amy, a pupil at the Cedar School in Nursling, currently goes to the Rainbow Centre one day a week and her parents say she has benefited from the treatment needed to help strengthen the youngster’s muscles and limbs.
Amy is wheelchair-bound owing to a condition called global development delay.
The money will enable Amy to use specialist physiotherapy equipment at the centre.
Anyone who would like to donate to the Amy Appeal should address cheques to Brave Hearts at 11 Vespasian Road, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 5JP.
Amy and her father Richard are pictured with Chloe Slater and Kevin Bennett from Brave Hearts Echo picture by Matt Watson. Order no: 8831587.
