A SOUTHAMPTON drama student will today take to the nation’s airwaves in a bid to become the star of Scott Mills The Musical.

Adam Dyche, 22, from Regents Park, is down to the final three to play Hampshire’s famous radio DJ, pictured above right, in a comedy musical based on his life that will be part of next month’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Having trod the boards of Southampton’s Nuffield Theatre and community theatre in Hampshire, Adam is hoping he can win the lead role and that it will be the launch of a stage career.

“I’m really excited to be down to the final three. Coming from Southampton it would be great to play Scott who is also from here.”

Listeners will vote throughout Scott Mills’ afternoon show today to decide who is best suited to play the radio star who comes from Eastleigh.
