A PAIR of Brazilian tapirs wasted no time in making Marwell Wildlife near Winchester their family home.
Six-year-old Ronny and eight-year-old Summer have been at the park for three months, having arrived from a collector in Sussex in late April.
However, they have already had a visit from the stork, and are now the proud parents of a calf, which was born on Tuesday, July 21.
Summer was already expecting the youngster when they turned up, as tapirs have a gestation period of around 13 months.
The calf, thought to be female, is yet to be named. Keepers are planning to give the youngster a name once its gender is confirmed.
