If hare coursing is your thing, then she's your woman!!!

Personally I find her and some of her views totally repugnant and it speaks volumes for the the obvious agenga of the organisers that they are happy to have a recently convicted criminal as their star attraction and no doubt she will be feted as a hero to all those who enjoy killing intelligent animals for fun in various "traditional" ways.

I expect the hounds look at her and think of their mothers.

Sadly she got an absolute discharge because she 'didn't know' that it was illegal.

Ignorance is no defence in the eyes of the law... unless you're famous it seems. Like you say, a vile and repugnant woman.

Don't be so pompous. The reason she "didn't know" it was illegal was because lawyers who were consulted on the issue said it was legal, and the police who were invited to attend saw what was going on and said it was legal so she and everyone else involved could be forgiven for thinking it was legal. The main reason it was found to be illegal was that THEY DIDN'T KILL THE HARE. The bright shiny new Hunting Act says you can set dogs to chase a hare as long as you kill the hare with a gun. The organisers made the mistake of allowing the hare to escape in accordance with traditional coursing practice. Had they shot the animal, they would be in the clear and a hare currently living out the rest of its natural life would be dead. But of course to the antis, it's more important to spoil the sport than it is to save the animal

Sadly, Clarissa is of the one before the last generation when the population was 45 million at the last count - NOW we have a population that would not turn their noses up at dog and cat stew! In the 'Old days' we were shocked to know our chicken stew was indeed goat. Actually, it was quite nice, but tastes have changed. Our meat came from beef, lamb and chicken and pigs, but look at it now - any animal parts will do. Clarissa - I invite you to have my lovely beaver stew.
