A TWO-day event entitled ‘The transition to low carbon: policy frameworks and community action’ is being held in Winchester this month.
The event offers an opportunity to meet key policy and sustainability experts and explore how to convert your ideas into action.
The implications of a transforming society for both policy and independent local initiatives will be discussed, ahead of important international negotiations in Copenhagen in December.
The event will include a number of themes including: ‘Why cap emissions if peak oil is coming anyway?, ‘Solutions for living on one planet’ and ‘How to build a community wind farm’.
The event is being held by Winchester Action on Climate Change, Cap and Share UK and the University of Southam-pton on November 21/22.
