A HAMPSHIRE man has been jailed for savagely beating his own mother to death in her home.
William Scouarnec, 32, attacked his mum Elizabeth, 51, after an argument about his children.
Scouarnec beat her to death after she said his children would not come to see her because of him.
He was in her home, despite a banning order preventing from being there after he previously attacked her.
The savage beating left Mrs Scouarnec with all her ribs broken, a broken collar bone and with cuts to her face, head, arms and legs.
A post-mortem was unable to determine which injury killed Mrs Scouarnec, who was just 5'4" and weighed around seven stone.
Following the attack, Scouarnec spent hours trying to clean blood from the walls of his mother's home in Northern Parade, Portsmouth.
Her body was found lying in a pool of blood on the living room floor by police officers on February 12 this year.
The attack is believed to have taken place sometime in the preceding 24 hours.
At Winchester Crown Court, Scouarnec, of Fratton Road, Portsmouth, was yesterday jailed for a minimum 11 years and four months before he will be able to be considered for release.
