Fire crews cut out victim after three-car smash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash near Stockbridge that left a woman with life-threatening injuries.

At around 6.45pm yesterday at Chattis Hill, a silver BMW heading west collided head-on with a red Jaguar X Type.

The BMW was then in collision with a silver Audi 3, which was travelling behind the Jaguar, and came to rest in a grass verge.

Its driver, a 41-year-old Stockbridge woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The Audi driver, a 45-year-old Stockbridge woman, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital.

The Jaguar driver, a 63-year-old Salisbury man, was uninjured.

The road was closed until about 11.30pm for an investigation.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw any of the vehicles driving prior to it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Operation Trefoil investigation team at the Farnborough Roads Policing unit on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

A Citroen was damaged by vandals who broke into the vehicle to steal its stereo and then set off fireworks.

What a bunch of total idiots, on the busiest night of the year of firefighters, a bunch of street rat, no hopers decide to break into a car and set off fireworks.

One wonders what their reaction would be if their house had burned down and their family members injured or killed because the crew that were dealing with their mindless act of vandalism, should have been putting the fire out and saving lives at their house?

Stupid mindless fools

I love the way in which the editor classified one of the casualties as a victim. As if this was a pre-meditated attack on a certain person.

As for the incident in Lower Brownhill Road. No suprise there with the increase roaming of pack chavs, who have nothing productive to do with their lives. Just a shame they didn't try putting a firework up their own backsides.

No doubt, won't be too long before one of the brainless fools try and end up in AE.

Hoping to read about it on Daily Echo site soon!!

I have been having problems with posting on the site lately, with security words locking up, messages about non matching security words and now messages from a different thread, is it me or is the site having problems?

Seems to me that there has been a big increase in road accidents lately, anyone know why?
